Keto naan bread is a delicious accompaniment to curry to enjoy with your friends and family, and tastes almost identical to the original. It’s easy to make and requires very little cooking skills. If you know how to cook a pancake, you know how to make naan bread.

Firstly, let’s have a little bit of a discussion. The keto diet takes away rice…. then it takes away bread! What on earth are you supposed to eat with curry?

Keto Naan Bread - Don't Have Curry Without This Delicious Recipe (1)

Well, this is where cauliflower rice and keto naan bread come in. With a little extra preparation, you’ll be able to enjoy a delicious curry from your local takeaway shop without ordering naan bread, and love every second of your decision.

I love the curry that comes from Punjabi Palace here in Brisbane. The owner is such a proud man and has photos of himself and the Indian cricket team up on the wall. I’m pretty sure he has the Australian cricket team up on the wall too.

For some reason, I’ve always ordered chicken tikka masala. Does anyone else order the same thing? My fiance, Adele, loves to get the lamb korma, which is also good, but nothing beats a good juicy tikka masala.

From my research, tikka means small pieces of meat marinated in spices, and masala means spice mix. So translated into English, it’s literally “small pieces of meat in spice mix” curry. Kinda cool, right?

Keto Naan Bread Almond Flour

This recipe, like my keto bread roll recipe, utilizes the wonderful properties of psyllium husk powder to get the wrap-like texture that so many people love.

Coconut flour is the main ingredient within the keto naan bread, but you can always substitute this with almond flour. Instead of using 60 g coconut flour, use 90 g almond flour for a very similar texture.

Naan Without Psyllium Husk

This recipe can be easily adapted to using ground up flaxseed or chia seed as a substitute for the psyllium husk powder. I’ve used ground flaxseed and hot water to make keto wraps before and they are super delicious and just as flexible as the ones using psyllium husk powder.

Bread came out great! This is the first time that I use coconut flour and psyllium powder and the bread turned purple. This doesn’t seem to affect the texture or flavor, but what can I do to avoid it?

Hey, Very nice recipe, just tried them today and they look beautiful but for some reason the texture is very spongy, like the dough still. I stuck to the recipe, except that I didnt have psyllium powder, i used entire husks instead.
Theyre nice and brown but just not crispy :/

What do you recommend I do different next time?
    thank you already.

Hi Tibor, I would suggest using psyllium husk powder. Unsure of the results with just using the husks.

It would be nice if the recipes were in American, instead of grams and oz.s. I’ve never cooked by weight in my 71 years, I cook by cups and volume oz.s.

Hi Ken, cooking by weight is important for accuracy, especially in a global way of sharing such as the internet. I hope this works out for you.

Personally, I always prefer metric measurements. For instance, I can easily weigh out 6 ounces of pineapple, but how much is 1 cup of the same, or how much is a cup of flour

Hi Larry – I’d suggest using weight as a measurement for flour (as density will change the recipe a lot).

  5. Sylvia says

What if you don’t have psyllium husk what can I substitute it with?

    • FatForWeightLoss says

I’m sorry, there isn’t a good substitute for this currently.

Hi. I want to make the Naan Bread but I don’t like coconut oil. Can it be substituted by something else, or can it just be left out.

    Thankyou

    • Coda says

You can fry these with whatever oil you prefer. It’s not an ingredient so it’s not important.
